I have posted a page with my thoughts on how the recent wet weather will affect the wildflower bloom in Southern California. In short, I think that, despite a dry January, the precip that these areas received before New Year’s and thus far in February should lead to a pretty good year for wildflowers in the classic spots. If you have some time on your hands and would like to read more, head on over to my Wildflower Forecast.

Wow. thank you for the forecast. That is just what I was looking for..and being in San Jose where it’s been raining for almost 2 weeks after 70 weather, I was wondering about the “season” 09 “down your way” This trip to see the wildflowers will be our first and I was trying to decide what weeks would be the best time this year. I was trying to combine it with a Vegas trip in mid march, but that might be too early. What do you think? Thanks again, I’ll keep checking your website.
